INVESTIGATING

Canvas Quizzes isn't working properly at the moment. The issue is the ContentKeeper filter system. We are working with ContentKeeper but do not have a solution or a timeline for the problem at this time. The only work around we have found is to work off of the district network at home or on a hotspot, which appears to resolve the error. Keep in mind, this would use data on your personal cell plan while using a hotspot. You can also work from a home/other network to build your assessments. We do not believe that this error impacts students taking an assessment, only with accessing the build page for assessments from the teachers end.

To help protect student data and maintain compliance with district privacy requirements, Tooele County School District will begin blocking applications in Clever that have not been reviewed and approved through our LearnPlatform vetting process. Over time, some apps have been added to Clever without completing the required review. While many of these tools may be useful for instruction, all software that collects, stores, or accesses student information must be evaluated to ensure it meets district standards for student data privacy, security, accessibility, and legal compliance. As a result, any application currently in Clever that has not been vetted through LearnPlatform will be removed or blocked from student access. If you would like to use a new digital tool or program, please work with your principal to submit a LearnPlatform request through the Principal Resources webpage. Once the review process is complete and the application is approved, it can be added for district use. We appreciate your partnership in helping us safeguard student information while providing effective digital learning resources. If you have questions about a specific application or the review process, please contact the Technology Department.

When taking pictures on ipevo visualizer. If it will not pull up the file and gives an error. The student will have to connect their google drive to their local storage so that it saves to google drive instead of trying to save locally. Due to an issue with a recent sync from our Student Information System, some students—particularly those transitioning between high schools or entering high school for the first time—have been temporarily removed from ParentSquare. We have identified an error with our staff rostering from our HRIS system, resulting in new employees not showing up in Parent Square. We have a service ticket in with them to get this restored. The student sync has been restored--we are working through one-off errors as they are brought up to our communications team.
